Delia - Sugar Nellie

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.  It flew by so quickly.  I am now stuffed with turkey and chocolates!!  Diet starts on 5 January!

I made a card before Christmas using one of my favourite images from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits.  She is called Delia and here she is:

Close Up

I kept the card simple, I like this style a lot at the moment.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella, Faith the Fairy Uptown Girl.  I have used this sentiment many times and I really love it.  I have coloured Delia with copics and just mounted on some bazzill cs and added some glamour dust and pearls.

I would like to enter my card into the Sugar Bowl challenge this month.

I hope you have a lovely rest of the day.  I am off work next week so am looking forward to a relaxed few days.  I am thinking of hitting the sales tomorrow!  I will see how I feel in the morning!!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Eve!

I just wanted to post once more before Christmas to share a couple of cards which are a bit different.  As some of you know I cross stitch as well and I made some small Christmas robins, which I stitched whilst I was away on holiday!  I made up some cards and here they are:

Aren't they fun!  I used papers from LOTV - Twas the Night Nitwit Collections and some Bazzill CS.  I just added some pearls and the sentiment is from LOTV Christmas Wishes Set 75.  I hope they like these, something a bit different!

Well that's all from me today.
I just want to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Lots of Love and Hugs

Christmas Card with Drawer

Hi Everyone!

Just one more day and I am officially on leave until 5 January!  Can't wait!  I took part in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Page Christmas Card Swap this year.  I know that my recipient has safely received her card so I thought I would share it here with you.

Close Up

Of course she is La La Land and she is called Christmas Ornament Marci.  I coloured with copics and used papers from LOTV called Snow Princess.  As you can see I made a drawer box thingy!  Inside the drawer are some chocolates which I think arrived safely!  I added some glamour dust and glossy accents to the ornament and sprinkled on some frantage, which I am still trying to get used to.  The snowflake dies are also from La La Land.

I hope you like her!  Have a couple more Christmas cards to share so hopefully I will get time this week to do that.  Have a great day!

Sweet Stampin' - Black & White and Splash of One Colour!

Hi Everyone!

I really need to think of some witty titles for my posts!!  I hope you are all well and ready for the big day next week.  I am relatively organised so am feeling fairly relaxed!!

I am here today with my card for the new challenge at Sweet Stampin'.  The theme is:

"Black & White with Splash of One Colour"

I decided to go with purple as my one other colour.  Here is my card:

I am not particularly happy with the colouring of this but I do like the image which is Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl - Serena Has A Sign. I layered up some black and purple bazzill card, and matted the white card which is cut with Lil Inker Stitched Square die.  I added some glamour dust and pearls.  The small butterfly punch is from Tonic.

A little box!

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all ok!  I am off out getting the Christmas Tree today, hopefully then I will start to feel a bit more festive!!

Shock, horror, I am not here today with a DT make!  I bought a kit from Rosemary Merry when I was on the craft retreat back in November.  I had fun playing with it a couple of weeks ago and thought I would share it today.  Its so lovely in real life!  (sorry about all the photos!)

It started off as just a brown box.  I painted the box with a blue acrylic paint and then covered with papers from Kaisercraft - Storyteller Collection.  I inked the edges with brown chestnut roan chalk ink pad.  I inked the edges of the flowers as well and just assembled these on top with the netting and berries.  Then to finish off added the library draw handle to the front.  As I said it comes a kit form from Rosemary Merry's store - Crab Apple Crafts.  I love it!

I hope you have a great Saturday and weekend!  Not long now til the big day!!

December Birthday - Moving Along With The Times

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick one from me today.  Busy old week.  We have a new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times and this week our Kelly has challenged us to:

"December Birthday"

I wasn't quite sure what to do for this but in the end thought I would go for wintery colours!  Here is my card:

I didn't have time to colour up an image this week so I used one of the fabulous pre-coloured toppers from the Hobby House.  This is from the Wee Stamps sheet called Hopeful.  I teamed her up with some papers from Maja Designs and I think its the Vintage Summer Basics, but they are all mixed up together so am not sure!  I used some shabby blue frantage around the image (still trying to get used to this!)  I also added some glossy accents to the blue with a sprinkle of glamour dust.  The flower is also from the Hobby House and is gorgeous!

I hope you can pop on over to the challenge blog to see all the wonderful projects from the DT team and I hope you can join us this week!

Ok, that's it from me.  Have a wonderful day!

Anyway, I am here today for the new challenge over at Sweet Stampin'!  Our theme this week is:

"Things With Wings"

One of my favourite challenges and I always go for Fairies!!  Here is my card:

I have used a gorgeous image from Simply B Stamps called Snowflake Fairy.  She is coloured with copics and I loved colouring her.  Her wings have been completing glitterfied!!  I added a little charm as a snowflake.  This is also the first time I have used frantage, I know I am a little behind everyone else!  I think it looks ok, but how do you stop the card from bending?!  The sentiment comes with the image.

Inspired by a Song - Moving Along With The Times

Hi Everyone!

I hope your week is going well!  The weather has been utterly miserable all week, I hope it improves for the weekend as I am off to Bath for the Christmas Markets. I have never been before so am looking forward to it!

Anyway, today is another challenge over at Moving Along With The Times and this week our gorgeous leader Hazel who has challenged us to be inspired by a song:

"Its A Sing Song"!

I coloured up this little beauty a while ago. I really want to start using images that I just don't get time to do!  Anyway here is my card:

Can you guess what my song inspiration was?!  "Wishing on a Star"!!

The image is called Tilda Catching Stars and I coloured her with copics.  She is teamed with some of my favourite papers - Maja Design - Coffee in the Arbour and I just embellished with mulberry flowers, some lace ribbons and pearls.  Oh and the corner die is from La La Land called filigree corner.

Sweet Stampin' News!!

Good Morning Everyone!

I am not  normally here on a Saturday but I have some exciting news to share!  I was asked a couple of weeks ago if I would like to join the Sweet Stampin' DT!!  I was very honoured to be asked and am thrilled to join the lovely design team!  Thank you for having me ladies!

My first card is for the Sweet Stampin' 5th Birthday Celebrations!  So the theme this week is of course "Birthdays!"  So make sure you have birthday somewhere on your card and of course some stamping!  Here is my card:

I wanted to use some more of my fabulous La La Land images and this one is called Marci Cupcake.  She is coloured with copics.  She has come out much darker than I wanted and the whole card really wasn't what I intended but I hope its ok!!  The papers are Floral Pavilion from First Edition which are lovely.  I then just decorated with glamour dust, pearls and my memory box precious hearts die.  Oh and I also used a LOTV stitched stamp around the edge of the papers.

Now you need to pop on over to the main challenge blog.  We have some great sponsors this week:

Wild Orchid £10 voucher

Craft Devils Papercrafts £15 voucher

Marianne Designs with a surprise prize!
