MAWTT - More Than One Fold but not an Easel

Good morning!

Thursday again and that means another challenge over at Moving Along With The Times. Shell is the hostess today and she would like to see:
"More Than One Fold But Not An Easel"

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps

And they are very kindly offering 7 free digi's!

I love the bugaboo images so it was fun to use one this week. I used Crabby Cat - Talk to the Paw because it reminded me very much of Coco! I decided to make a photo book which is made from 1 piece of 12x12 paper. Here it is (quite tricky to photograph!):
Front of Book
 As It Opens

First Page
Open

Don't laugh at me but this is a Mother's Day card for my mum from the cats! (I know, I'm sad). As I used double sided 12x12 paper I didnt need to do much else, just used some bazzill bling for some of the panels. I used the image again inside but smaller with the sentiment which comes with the image and a piece of ribbon to tie it all together. I left a bit of blank space in the middle so I could write on it, sorry, so Coco could write on it!

I hope you like it, the rest of the team have done some fab projects this week so please do go and take a look. Don't forget our DT call at MAWTT is still open so if you fancy joining the team just send us an email!

I am entering this project into Paper Playtime - Anything Goes and Make It Monday.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Handmade Flowers

Good morning everyone, its Totally Ladybug Tuesday!!

Today our Guest Designer the lovely Amanda has set our challenge and she would like you to "Make Your Own Flowers".  Great challenge don't you think!  Here is my card:
I wanted to use "Flowers For You Nikki" which you can get here.  And I decided to make my flowers using my Paper Artsy dies and my Die-namics rolled flower die.  The sentiment is from the new BFF stamps - Phoebe. The paper is MME (of course!) You can't see from the photo but the flowers are very glittery and are very dimensional. The leaves do have a pattern on them which you can't really see.

The other DT projects are amazing so please go and take a look at the challenge blog.  Can't wait to see all your fabulous entries!  And if you want to buy any of the images or accessories go along to Ladybug Crafts Ink to check out the full range (its website of the month for the best pretty stamps in the current issue of Quick Cards Made Easy!)

I would like to enter into the challenge at Anything Goes Challenge - Make Your Own Embellishments;
Have a great day.

That Monday Feeling

Hi All!

Well I had intended to post this yesterday but lovely Blogger will not post any of my photos!  Still not working today but I have found a work around which seems to work!!

Hope your weekend was good, horrible Monday again but it is now officially British Summer Time which means the end of dark days and more light and sunshine!!

My card today is for a friend who has recently broken her ankle, she fell over one frosty morning a couple of weeks ago.  I hope it cheers her up a little.

I have used a Pure Innocence image called "Flowers", this one is a digi image which I got here.  The papers are MME, I made the flowers using the papers with my die-namics rolled flower die which I got at Dies to Die For, the ribbon is from Ladybug Crafts Ink, love all the new ribbons that Kerry has got over there.

I used the sketch over at The Sweet Stop - SSS101.

Thats all from me today, have a wonderful day.

Oh and one other thing, we have a DT call at Moving Along with The Times, so if you fancy joining our great little team over there send us through your details, you can find out all about it on the MAWTT blog.

A Card For Mothers Day

Good morning everyone, its a glourious sunny day here today.  Just a quickie from me.  I am posting a card for Mothers Day which is next Sunday in the UK.  My mum loves the La La Land images (as do I!) so I used Marci With Rose

I teamed it with some MME papers, So Sophie - Pretty Girl. Now, Mary J will be so proud of me because there is orange in this card!!  I loved the paper so I had to use orange, which is not a favourite of mine I have to say!  I think mum will like it!  I used some lace ribbon from the Ladybug Crafts Ink, the flowers are made from felt which is also from LCI too.

Thats it from me today.  I am entering into the following challenges:
Hope its sunny where you are and that you have a great day.

MAWTT - Precious Metals

Good morning all.  Can you believe its Thursday again? I sound like a broken record but where are the days going.  Anyway we have another challenge over at MAWTT this week.  The very talented Brenda has set the challenge which is:
"Precious Metals"

So we would like to see cards or projects which contain any silver, gold, platinum and these could be in the form of metal embellishments, wire, mirri board, metal sheets, altered tins, etc.

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Merly Impressions

They are a family run business started about 18 months ago by the wonderful Chrissy Tingey. They specialise in supplying scrapbooking and cardmaking materials from Kaisercraft to customers in the UK. Do go and check out the website as they have some FABULOUS stuff!

Chrissy is offering a wonderful prize, (I wish I could enter!)

Here is my project:

All the products are used are from Merly Impressions apart from the silver mirri paper which was in my stash.  I used the beyond the page - Long French Plaque which I painted wih silver eco green paint. I covered with paper from the new Magic Happens collection which is gorgeous, this particular DP had lots of swirls which I wanted to incorporate into the project. I made the flowers with silver mirri which I stamped onto and embossed with silver powder to give the flowers more depth.  The leaves I left plain.  I added some brads, glitter, pearls and the letters (which were also covered in the Magic Happens paper).

It hasn't really photographed very well but the colours are much better in real life!   The DT have made some amazing projects so please go and take a look here and I hope that you can join in the fun this week!  I have to say I got very messy with my embossing powders which I haven't done for some time so I enjoyed it!

I am entering into the following challenges this week:
Have a wonderful day.

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Monochrome

Good morning everyone,

I hope you all had great weekends and that your week is going ok so far! Its Totally Ladybug Tuesday again which means a brand new challenge. The lovely Gaelle has set the challenge today and she wants to see "Monochrome".

So pick a colour and use different shades of that colour, apart from hair and skin. I didnt want to go with my favourite pink or purple as I wanted to do something different, so I went with green. Although I have been using that a lot lately as well!! Here is my card.

I used Winestool Nikki because this is what I imagine I look like when I am sipping champagne!! The paper is MME, bazzill bling and dotty paper. I used my new circle nesties (can you believe I've only just got some circle ones!) and added some faux stitching. I hope you like it, I actually enjoyed only using the one colour so may start doing more of this.

You can buy Nikki and lots of other amazing bits at Ladybug Crafts Ink, check out the new ribbon and felt while you are there, I have just got some and they are megamazing!

So go along and check out the other wonderful projects by the fabulous DT and I can't wait to see your projects next week!

Before I go I just wanted to thank the girls at the Sweet Stamping Challenge Blog for spotlighting my Martini Nikki card last week!

I am entering into the following challenges this week:

Happy Birthday Brenda!

Good morning all,

Its the weekend, yippee!  Today is my fellow MAWTT teamie's birthday - Happy Birthday Brenda!!  I hope you have lots of lovely things planned.  This is the card I made (hopefully she will have opened it before reading this!)

I am back to pink and green again, I can't help myself!  I did try and make this one shabby though as Brenda is the queen of distress.  I used my Tim Holtz tool to distress all the edges, I made the flower by stamping 3 of my Paper Artsy stamps clear ink, I used script paper and then embossed over it with pink embossing powder and held it together with a brad.  Added some glitter here and there and popped on the bow.  I hope you like it Brenda!

Well I have a reasonably lazy day ahead of me and the sun is shining at the moment, although its pretty cold!  Have a lovely day whatever you are up to.

TLT - White on White!

Good morning,

I hope you had a nice weekend. We've got another challenge over at Ladybug Crafts, yes its Tuesday again already!  Michele is the hostess today and she would like to see White on White, the only colour should be on the image.  Here is my card:
I've used my all time favourite - Martini Nikki!  I've glittered her up so she stands out on the white background.  I have layered up some bazzill bling in white with some textured card and then run some through the cuttlebug for the dotty paper.  I finished off with pearls in the corner and some white ribbon.  I know the ribbon has some silver on it so I hope Michele doesnt mind!  (Posh ribbon from Chanel as well! But I think it suits Martini Nikki don't you think!)

So pop over to the Ladybug Challenge Blog and have a look at all the other wonderful projects.  Don't forget you can use any image now.  Also make sure you pop over to the Ladybug Crafts shop, Kerry has some GORGEOUS new ribbon and felt, and you can pick up all the flabulous stamps as well!

The image is A La Modes - Miss You A Latte from MFT.  You can buy this in the UK from Dies to Die For.  My friend Mary J sent me this image and I love it.  Paper is MME, the ribbon is Papertrey Ink and I used my new SU Word Window Punch which I got from Pat who is my local SU demonstrator and who I met the other week for coffee!

Lets Hear It For the Boy!

Good Morning!

Well we are all about the males over at MAWTT this week!  The lovely Lisa has set her challenge and she wants to see

"Male Themed Cards or Projects"

We are sponsored this week by Ellephantastic and you can check out all the wonderful images here
Pop over to the MAWTT blog and read all about the owner Helen.  She is very kindly offering the winner 4 digi images of their choice.

I have used Rory the Footballer which you can get here.  Isn't he cool!
Its not been a good time for me recently with regard to football! I am an Arsenal supporter and we lost on Tueday night against Barcelona in the champions league and lost to Birmingham in the Carling Cup a couple of weeks ago.  :-(   Anyway, won't go on.  I used MME papers (yet again, sorry!) and the green paper is a freebie with a magazine and is from Nitwits.  I inked up all the edges with a brown chalk ink pad, the sentiment is from LOTV, some brown bazzill bling and the button was on a box of chocolates from Marks and Spencer!!

Please go and have a look at the other DT creations, they are fabulous.  And I look forward to seeing all your male creations!

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Spring!

Morning everyone,

Well its Tuesday again which means only one thing - Totally Ladybug Tuesday! The lovely Sue is the hostess this week and she would like to see "Spring Colours"

Now this card looked so much better in my head. I knew that I wanted to use On Your Bike Robyn and I had a lovely spring scene in my mind with her cycling through the flowers and sunshine. But it hasn't really turned out quite how I saw it.  Here it is:

I used the new spring time paper pack from Echo Park to create the scene.  I used my new cloud dies again which I do love!  Please go and check out all the other DT projects which really are amazing.

I am entering into the following challenges:

On Cloud Nine!

Hi All,

Can't believe how quickly the weekend is going.  I wanted to make a card this morning just to please myself, no DT project, no commission for anyone, just something I wanted to do!!  I've bought some many stamps recently I just wanted to use one of them!

Here is my card:

The image is alteeTUDE from Stamping Bella which I got from the Craft Barn. I love this image, its so sweet.  It also gave me the opportunity to use my new cloud dies from Papertrey Ink.  These were a wonderful gift from a lovely blogging friend!  I have been dying to use them for ages!  The paper is from the Magic Happens range from Kaisercraft which I bought from Merly Impressions.

I hope you like it but I have to say it looks so much better in real life.  I really am having problems taking nice photos.  I see some wonderful blogs where the photos look like they have been taken in a photographic studio!  If you are one of these people can you email me and give me some tips please!!

I followed sketch 208 below from CPS-Card Sketches
I need to get off now and finish a DT project for the week.  Enjoy your afternoon whatever you are up to.

MAWTT - Anniversary Challenge

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another MAWTT challenge (aren't the weeks just flying by!).  This week the lovely Hazel has set the challenge which is "Anniversary"

Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Stamps - go and check out their images here.  The prize for the lucky winner is:
So get cracking with your anniversary cards!

We were given some images to play with and I have used "One Heart".

When I saw it was Anniversary I wanted to use this paper I bought a couple of months back which is a love themed paper from Creative Imaginations.  I wanted to do a little bit of distressing so I distressed the edges of the paper and the flowers which I made from my Paper Artsy die.  I love how the flowers look (I added a bit of glitter after taking the photo). I had some lace in my draw which I thought worked well with the card so I added that too.

Now, I know that my lovely teamie Brenda will look at this and think "you call that distressing!" but it is for me!!  I have NEVER used lace on anything so this really is very different for me today!

Enough whaffling, please go and check out the other DT projects and make sure you enter the challenge this week!

Have a great day.
